Staff Bios

Hello… I’m Cathy Smith

I am the Practice Director and Leader of Recruiting at EGS and have been with the company since 2005. I have over 17 years of experience in recruiting – locating and placing candidates in a multitude of disciplines such as engineering, environmental, nuclear, administrative, technical areas to name just a few.

I develop strong relationships with my clients and candidates by developing trust, rapport, listening to their needs and being sincere.  I think what makes me so successful in what I do is that I believe everything about the person I am talking to is special.  I make them feel special by being in the presence of that conversation by listening to what they are really saying-then it’s my job to make sure I objectively access their skills to the job.  I don’t rush through the motions to get a person placed just because I have a deadline to meet. It has to fit 100%-on the client side and the candidate side. 

I like to volunteer for community projects through my Rotary Club (Centennial) and my church.  I especially enjoy spending time with my 14 year old son and being involved in his activities at school, in the community and sports events.

Hello… I’m Celestina Barajas

I am the Human Resources Manager at EGS and have been with the company since 2006. I also want you to know that I take my job very seriously (but also have a lot of fun) when I tell you “If I don’t know the answer I will do my very best to find it and get back to you hopefully the same day.”

I love to spend time with my husband and family and I am an avid reader all kinds of books and magazines. I’m also a Rotarian and serve on the Board of Directors as the Secretary and Editarian.  Our Rotary Club, Denver Sky High, works in the community of NW Denver on projects that include literacy, health and hunger and also projects around the world like ShelterBOX and providing safe drinking water for people in countries like Honduras and Nicaragua.

Hello… I’m Raylene Garcia

I am the Office Administrator at EGS and I have been with the company since 2006.  It’s my goal to making sure the office runs smoothly by filing and performing a multitude of administrative tasks as needed.
I greatly enjoy my work but I am also a part time student. I also love spending a great deal of time with my family and friends.
